Summary

Multidisciplinary consultations (MDCs) are essential for delivering coordinated and person-centred care in elderly care (VVT) and disability care (GHZ). However, current digital support for these meetings is often insufficient, lacking structure, contextual flexibility, and integration with existing workflows. This thesis investigates how Ons Overleggen, a tool developed by Nedap Healthcare, can be redesigned to better support MDCs across different care settings. Using a human-centred design process, the research identifies key contextual differences between MDC types and translates them into design requirements. Based on field observations, expert interviews, a survey, and co-design sessions, three board concepts were developed: for short-term care, long-term care, and medical rounds. These boards include context-specific widgets for goal tracking, documentation, and planning, while maintaining consistency within the Ons Suite. The final prototypes were validated through user testing with care professionals and internal evaluations at Nedap. Results show that the design supports daily consultation practices, improves clarity and role division, and is perceived as intuitive and complete.
