Summary
As people spend more time indoors and houses become increasingly airtight to conserve energy, indoor air quality becomes increasingly important. Despite its significance, the quality of indoor air often remains an abstract concept with unnoticed direct consequences. This project explored how Brink Climate Systems can enhance its products and services to increase user engagement with indoor air quality.
The research examined Brink Climate Systems' current position by analysing the climate control industry, product portfolio, brand identity, and user characteristics, creating personas to understand Brink's diverse user base. Current interactions with home and professional end-users were analysed, and preferred interactions were proposed through storyboards and prototypes.
Findings revealed significant gaps in Brink's digital offerings. A comprehensive digital interaction strategy was developed, including redesigns of the Brink Home and Brink Pro applications and the introduction of the Brink Control management hub. These improvements aimed to boost user engagement and satisfaction.
User testing proved that the new strategy could enhance understanding and control of indoor environments, promoting better health and well-being.
